batam with J

Day 1:

So just a few weeks ago, we got ourselves a Batam trip for only 39 bucks on deal.com.sg and decided we should have this trip before school reopens this mid-October. We got up as early as six in the morning and headed to Harbourfront ferry terminal to catch the ferry ride to Batam. I swear I was like a zombie throughout the journey to Batam. Apparently I couldn't seem to catch a nap even though I only had four hours of sleep while the sleepyhead got to fall asleep like after 5 min getting onto the ferry.

And we reached Batam!

Go-karting was the first stop of the tour. Decided to just give it a try (it was 15 bucks for like 15 min) since we were here. We planned to stick to each other throughout the time we were playing but most of the time we were at both ends lolz

J looked like some racer while I looked totally like i'm driving a four-wheeled Honda car.

After go-karting, we went to many other Batam-tourist-worthy like kueh lapis factory, dry product shop, chinese temple before we had our seafood lunch at Golden Prawn 933 where almost everyone goes to when they come to Batam which was really kinda disappointing.

J thought this was really nice and decided to get one for each of us. IMG_7530 Finally checked in to our hotel in the early evening (what a relief because we were so tired and bored out).

Could have stayed in and take a nap before dinner but since it was a getaway, we dragged our lazy asses out and headed out to Nagoya hill shopping centre which is actually Batam's no.1 shopping place.

And this is sg-most-missed A&W. I loved both the root beer and the RB glass so much I almost wanted J to keep the RB glass so I could take it home as a souvenier for myself..
IMG_7551 After getting done with shopping (we didn't buy a single thing lol), we headed to the arcade to waste some time. Played coin dozer and stopped after realizing that we needed to be really greedy to continue the game and win big. IMG_7561 Decided to make our way back to the hotel. IMG_7567 Boy who loves futsal. IMG_7566 So this is the hotel that we checked in, Triniti hotel. Quite a nice place for a short stay and it looked so classy.

Ended the night kinda early. After catching the 9pm show on channel 8, he started switching tv channels here and there and I was so tired I fell asleep really early. He fell asleep afterwards and so the telly was kept on... and playing and playing and playing throughout the night when we were sleeping. And instead of the usual cuddling, we embraced the double bed.

Day 2:

Got up in the morning and we thought we woke up really early. Headed down to catch the breakfast buffet but we actually missed it for 45 min?! Can't believe we didn't even check the time the day before. The breakfast buffet was supposed to be one of the highlights... But anyway we then made our way back to Nagoya hill shopping centre for our breakfast.

Need to have another glass of A&W root beer before heading back to sg.

The friendly hotel chauffeur whom drove us to the ferry terminal for us to catch our ferry ride back to sg.IMG_7585
Guy who bought quite a number of things while I bought nothing home.

So while waiting for our time to get onto the ferry, we shopped around... I was being so depressed over having nothing to buy home when he got himself quite a number of things, and even a Ralph lauren cardigan which he really loves and I thought it was really nice too.

So him who couldn't stand my whining, "Come buy smth for your sis!"
IMG_7595
"Or buy smth for me!". And guy who don't know how to see the difference between real and fake goods.
